If you want to use the 13" wheels on the road CSR, the rear brake caliper needs to be modified. We offer a conversion kit for this purpose.

The 13" wheel set that we recommend for road use or track days consists of 2 pieces of 7.0x13" ET 40 and 2 pieces of 9.0x13" ET 27.

Weight with valve:

• 7.0x13" ET 40: 4.693 kg
• 9.0x13" ET 27: 4.883 kg

Road and Track Day: In combination with tires such as:

• Avon ZZR and ZZS in 185/55R13 and 215/55R13
• Avon ZZS in 215/55R13 and 245/40R13
• Toyo Proxes in 185/60R13 and 205/60R13

A major advantage of the 13" conversion is not only improved drivability but also weight savings. A 15" Caterham wheel set with new ZZS tires weighs approximately 64 kg.

In contrast, a 13" WESMO BBS wheel set with 185/215 tires weighs only around 50 kg! This results in a reduction of about 14 kilograms of unsprung mass! With the 215/245 combination, the savings are still around 10 kilograms.

Examples:

For racing use with slicks, the combination 7.5 x 13" + 9.5 x 13" has been proven many times. These wheels can accommodate all common slicks and rain tires from Formula Renault, Formula 3, and Formula 4, as well as various Avon tires.

For the CSR in motorsport, the following wheels are available and fit under the standard CSR fenders, both front and rear:

Front Axle:

• 7.0x13 ET 40
• 7.5x13 ET 34

Rear Axle:

• 9.0x13 ET 27
• 9.5x13 ET 34
• 10x13 ET 27
