The shown 2.25 AFF version from Caterham is no longer available and will no longer be homologated since the end of 2017. However, fire extinguishers may be used and tested for 10 years from the date of production. You can find your exact production date directly printed on your fire extinguisher. If the production date is 2017, you can have your fire extinguisher approved until 2027 and then have to replace it after it has expired.
Caterham replaces the shown 2.25 AFF version with the Zero 360 2.25kg Fire Marshall system.
The gas extinguishing systems extinguish without leaving any residue, whereas water foam extinguishers, especially in case of a false activation, have to be cleaned after deployment. As a further benefit, the gas systems are also much lighter.
Prices quoted are for ready-to-install kits and include all pipes, fittings, fasteners, spray nozzles and release systems.
