The Ford Duratec engine first found its way into a Caterham engine bay in 2005, with CSR/SVR models and various Caterham racing cars being equipped with powerful 2.3L Cosworth variants.

As an official Cosworth contract partner, we offer complete 2.0 and 2.3 litre solutions for all chassis types (S3, SV, CSR) and have full access to all special/bespoke components of this engine, as well as to new crate engines.

For many years, we have been running the 2.3 litre Cosworth with 250 BHP or 280 BHP in both the S3 and CSR chassis for road traffic and in racing.

These brand new engines are assembled by hand using the finest racing components in the same workshop as all other Cosworth racing engines, including the Cosworth Formula 1 engines.

We receive inquiries from customers from all over Europe to have their Duratec/Cosworth engines serviced, overhauled and/or rebuilt by us.

As a rule, conversions from e.g. Rover or Opel engines to Duratec are rarely feasible, as exhaust systems, cooling systems, clutch, oil supply and the entire engine electronics must be converted as well.
